Celebrate summer star gazing in this cookie art workshop inspired by Vincent Van Gogh. We'll learn about the famous post impressionist artist with an art project followed by royal icing techniques for sugar cookies that evoke the night sky.
Date & Time: Saturday, July 15, 2-3:30 pm
Location: Northeast Seattle (Wedgwood, address will be sent with registration)
Ages: 7-11
What to Expect: In this workshop we'll start with observations of Vincent Van Gogh's famous starry night painting followed by a post-impressionism art project. We'll keep the conversation going as we create galaxy cookies, talk constellations and learn sugar cookie decorating basics: flooding, wet-on-wet, layering, and detail work. Cookie stations will have six sugar cookies in a variety of shapes, bags of royal icing, and finishing materials. Boxes will be provided to take home the finished product.
Children do not need to be accompanied by an adult. Chairs will be available if parents want to stay. Price is per child per class and payment is required at the time of registration. Parents/caretakers are kindly asked to register children at least 24 hours in advance. If a parent/caretaker needs to cancel a class, refunds will be given only if we are notified 24 hours in advance.
