To ensure your challah is ready on time, please submit your order by Wednesday. Order submitted after Wednesday might not be able to be fulfilled as we are a small home bakery. Delivery options at payment include: Friday morning pickup at Hunter Tree Farm (10:30-11:00 am) OR Friday delivery in the NE Seattle area (11-12:00). For deliveries, we will knock at the door, leave your bag of fresh bread outside the door and text that it's been delivered.
Subscription Option
Need challah weekly like we do? We offer a Friday subscription option for either plain, raisin or filling of the week. Please feel free to change your subscription anytime to the other option (plain to filled or filled to plain). You can cancel your subscription any time or switch to a one-time order. If you have any questions about the process, comments or issues with the product, don't hesitate to let me know. We are so excited to provide you with regular meal-elevating, celebratory bread!
Ingredients
Enriched unbleached wheat flour (niacin, reduced iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), eggs, water, olive oil, honey, salt, yeast (sorbitan monostearate, ascorbic acid).
Challah (plain or filled)
Your challah was baked on the day you received it. We recommend serving it as is on a beautiful cutting board or reheating if you prefer. Place in a 350F oven for 5-7 minutes. Challah is an excellent accompaniament to warm soup, cold salad, fish, etc. but is also lovely with a cheese or meat board (depending on your dietary choices).
Challah is excellent the following day (if it lasts) and makes the best French toast. Cut into 1" slices and soak in 1/2 cup milk and 2 eggs (option: add vanilla and cinnamon). Fry up in a buttery pan and put a few aside for yourself or the cook won't get any!
